	The Surplus Cassocks was formed in ~~SolihulI~~ in 1976 with the intention of providing close harmony entertainment for charity. The group, which has sung widely throughout Birmingham and the surrounding area, boasts two King’s Choral Scholars and a professional counter tenor among former members. All six of the current group also sing in St. Alphege Choir and in their spare time are further occupied with bits and bytes, briefs, buzz boxes, boilers, braces and births.
