Hagley Theatre Group was started in 1946; since then, although only a small society, it has presented a wide cross section of drama including Ayckbourne, Miller, Shaw, Sheridan and Coward, to cater for the varied audiences it attracts. Recently the Society has won a cup and certificates for productions in several Drama Festivals. Next year sees their 150th production.
The production for the Festival is a compilation of drama, prose, poetry and music, both serious and comic, celebrating incidents relating to the lives and events surrounding the Kings and Queens of England from the Norman Conquest to Queen Victoria.
