The Royal Oak Hotel was, in it's day, one of two beautiful hotels in the town, with bars, a restaurant and function rooms.

One particularly grand room, just at the top of the first stairway, was known as the Regency Room and used for smaller talks, such as Collecting Contemporary Art.

Outside, adjoining the hotel, is a newer building known as The Ballroom. This was used for dances and larger events, including a Film Evening during Leominster Festival 1988.

These days, sadly, it is in a very poor state of repair and very much closed.
