The Early Music Consort of Leominster is a local group focussing on historic music, including 20th century music. The Early Music Consort of Leominster is a local group focussing on historic music, including 20th century music. They also provide accompaniment for the Passamezzo Early Dance Group with who they performed in 1986 at the event Song and Dance at the Court of Elizabeth I.

They are directed by Alan Crumpler.

Programme Biography (1986)

The Early Music Consort of Leominster was founded four years ago and immediately achieved recognition for its lively and expressive playing. It performs a wide variety of programmes, including 20th century music and also provides music for the Passamezzo Early Dance Group which performs all over England. Last year both groups took part in the Three Choirs Festival and in the first International Festival of Early Dance, held in Ghent.
