The Royal Oak Hotel was, in it's day, one of two beautiful hotels in the town, with bars, a restaurant and function rooms.
The Royal Oak Hotel was, in it's day, one of two beautiful hotels in the town, with bars, a restaurant and function rooms. One particularly grand room, I believe upstairs, was known as the Regency Room and used for smaller talks, such as [[Collecting Contemporary Art|Collecting Contemporary Art (1988)]].


These days, sadly, it is in a very poor state of repair and very much closed.
