David Ward
Festivals 1982

David Ward is a concert pianist who performed an evening of talk and music around Haydn and Mozart at Leominster Festival 1982.

Programme Biography

Educated at Caius College, Cambridge, and the Royal College of Music where he studied piano, conducting, viola and singing, he was awarded a Leverhulme post-graduate scholarship and continued his studies in London with Katharina Wolfe. A French government scholarship enabled him to continue his studies with Nadia Boulanger. Currently teaching piano and coaching chamber music at the Royal College of Music. David Ward performs frequently in London, many parts at the United Kingdom, Europe, America and Australia. His playing is noted for its sensitivity and refinement, its careful phrasing and articulation.
