Programme Listing

The 1986 Leominster Festival begins with the Craft Fair, and although it is centred on the stalls and activites of the various craftsmen and women, the day offers a full programme of open-air entertainment including morris dancing, early dance, magic, music and mime.

In previous years a Steel Band has proved a great attraction and we hope to repeat the performances in 1986. Other children’s entertainment will be provided by Leominster Lions - to include sideshows, sports and a bouncy castle.

The Craft Fair itself offers a wide range of crafts and goods for sale. Potters, blacksmiths, wood-carvers, doll-makers, printers, furniture-makers, straw-workers, painters, candle-makers, spinners and weavers have all demonstrated their skills on previous occasions, and it is anticipated that there will be about fifty stalls of various kinds this year.

Refreshments will be available.

IN THE PRIORY CHURCH AND ON THE GRANGE at 10.30 am. - 5.00p.m. To be declared open by the Mayor, Richard Winterbourn, approx. 10.45a.m.

Admission Free

Notes

Possibly due to the more complex programme, unfortunately details of the Morris team, steel band and other entertainment aren't available at the time of printing which is a shame.
