Michael Casson OBE lived from 2 April 1925 to 12 December 2003 and was one of the founding potters of the Craft Potters Association.[1]
In 1976, he created and presented a programme for the BBC, 'The Craft of the Potter' that included practical demonstrations and discussion and instructions on the art of pottery. From this, he wrote a companion book which was an authoritive guide to creating pottery and includes a history of the subject.

Working successfully for many years as a potter in London and Buckinghamshime, Michael Casson now lives at Wobage Farm near Ledbury. He helped Victor Margrie (now Chairman of the Crafts Council) set up the nationally known Harrow Pottery course and lectures there, throughout Britain and abroad.
