Phillip Dyson is an internation concert pianist and renowned as a great entertainer with a "wonderfully dry, very Briish sense of humour". He has played in sold-out performances around the world on his own and appears regularly with the world's most prestigious orchestras, particularly in Europe and America where his reputation precedes him. He is known for his connection to the audience and the showmanship he displays during his shows.
Programme Biography
PHILLIP DYSON was born in Ashton under Lyne, Lncashire. He studied at the London College of Music, then as a Post-Graduate student at the Royal College of Music with John Lill. As a student he was awarded prizes including a Silver Medal from the Worshipful Company of Musicians, the Dr W S Lloyd-Webber Medal and a scholarship in the form of the Allcard Award. He is said to show formidable technique, fire, power, control and showmanship in his performances.
