Terence Sharpe is a baritone singer who studied with Otakar Kraus amongst others and has performed with the English National Opera, Welsh National Opera and Glyndebourne opera house.

He performed as special guest artist with Leominster Choral Society in Leominster Festival 1982.

Programme Biography

Born in Yorkshire where he studied with Stanley Jepson, Terence Sharpe continued his at studies in Rome with Luigi Ricci on a Gulbendian fellowship. His prizes include the Belgian Concours de Bet Canto and the Italian Gian-Battinta Viotti Concorso in Vercelli. He has performed with Sadlers Wells Opera, Welsh National Opera, English National Opera, Glyndebourne Touring Opera and has sung over forty major roles throughout Britain, Europe, U.S.A. and Argentina. In addition to his considerable operatic repertoire, Terence Sharpe performs a wide selection of songs, ballads and lieder. His style reminds one of a young Tito Gobbi.
