Marisa Robles was born in Spain and made her concert debut on the harp at the age of just 17.

In her career, she was regarded as second to none in her mastery of the instrument and has done much to popularise the harp. Marisa has an infectious enthusiasm and her informal approach to concerts enables her audience to feel they have met the player as well as attended a concert by a superb musician.

She has performed on the BBC and wrote the music for the Chronicles of Narnia on a set of audiobooks. She was also the artistic director for the first two Cardiff World Harp Festivals in 1991 and 1994.
