The Passamezzo Early Dance Group was founded around 1981 and gives performances in costumes created by Janet Milner based on historic examples.

They performed dances of the 16th century in Leominster Festival 1984 alongside The Consort of Songe when they were directed by Sheila Parret.

Programme Biography

THE PASSAMEZZO EARLY DANCE GROUP was founded by Sue Warren about three years ago. It gives performances in costumes created by Janet Milner based on historic examples. The dance music used in this performance is mainly 16th century Italian reconstructed from original sources. The dances will be of Italian, French and English origins.
