Programme Biography (1986)
Born in South Africa, Cecily has lived in Herefordshire for the past ten years [in 1986], where she produces some stunning work in oil as well as watercolour and print. She also runs a highly respected school for artists in Leominster [in 1986].
Cecily’s contribution to art in South Africa is noted in Esme Berman’s book “Art and Artists of South Africa” where it is said, “... were Cecily Sash’s personal output of no consequence whatever, she would nonetheless number among the valuable contributors to South African art by virtue of her singular ability as a teacher.”
