Festivals 1984

The Medici String Quartet was formed by four students at the Royal Academy of Music. Their aim from the start has been to create a rich, full-bodied string quartet sound, and this lies at the root of their success. It has been said that these gifted players have music in their blood and certainly at their finger tips.

According to the Festival Programme, the group consisted at the time of Paul Robertson, David Matthews, Ivo-Jan van der Werff and Anthony Lewis although there does appear to be a little variation in the group members online.
