Programme Biography
Cilla’s marriage to Artie Tresize (family roots in Cornwall) has proved to be one of those highly fortuitous events that have a way of happening in the folk music world; for his voice and tasteful accompaniments on guitar, lap organ and Scottish small pipes provide an ideal setting for the traditional material they generally favour.
Cilla and Artie, always in great demand, play to packed houses the entire length and breadth of the British Isles and also abroad. Overseas tours have taken them to Australia, Canada, Holland, Ireland, Bermuda, Germany as well as guesting at the first ever Hong Kong Folk Festival. It was a great accolade for them to represent the U.K. as B.B.C. artists at the European Broadcasting Festival in Finland a few years ago.
